ONU Mujeres ha dado diversos subsidios a comunidades de Kirguistán con el fin de mejorar la seguridad económica de las mujeres rurales. Esta galería de fotos muestra algunas de las maneras en que esos subsidios están ayudando a las comunidades. En 2010, ONU Mujeres y las autoridades de varios distritos copatrocinaron talleres de formación en materia de igualdad de género y de servicios agrícolas para líderes de cooperativas agrícolas en Rwanda. La formación alentó a los líderes a estudiar las necesidades de las mujeres agricultoras, ampliar el número de miembros de las cooperativas para incluir a más mujeres, aumentar la representación de las mujeres en sus estructuras de toma de decisiones y priorizar las oportunidades para las mujeres miembros más vulnerables.
