Regional distribution of programme expenses by outcome area This chart provides the distribution of UN-Women field-based programme expenses (core and non-core) in 2021 by region and outcome, in millions. For example, 2021 field-based programme expenses in Outcome 4 (Ending violence against women) under the Asia Pacific region totaled $20.83 million. Financial information for the year ended 31 December 2021 has been prepared on an accrual accounting basis in accordance with International Public Sector Accounting Standards (IPSAS).

UN-Women's Revenue This chart provides an overview of UN-Women’s revenue from contributions for the period 2018-2021. It also presents regular resources and other resource projections set in the integrated budget. In 2021, total revenue was $556 million. Assessed contributions were $10.1 million. Regular resources were $165.1 million ($35 million less than projected) and other resources were $381.2 million ($96 million more than projected). The share of regular resources to other resources was 30%.

TOP 20 CONTRIBUTORS TO UN-WOMEN RESOURCES This chart presents the top 20 contributors to UN-Women resources in 2021. Total contributions from the top 20 funding partners was 84 per cent of total contributions in 2021, or $454 million. For example, Sweden was the largest overall funding partner and contributed a total of $63.5 million.
