Call for proposals: Strengthening knowledge and capacities on gender-responsive macroeconomic policy in Nepal

UN Women seeks an implementing civil society organization (CSO) partner to:

  1. strengthen the evidence base on gender-responsive macroeconomic policies with a focus on fiscal and monetary policies, as well as paid and unpaid care work to support gender-equitable inclusive growth and expansion of decent employment opportunities for women in Nepal;
  2. provide technical support to relevant policy makers and practitioners on gender-responsive macroeconomic policies with access to quality policy tools for gender-equitable inclusive growth; and
  3. conduct research-based policy advocacy for the creation of gender-responsive policy environment for promotion of decent employment for women as well as increased investments in the care economy.

UN Women seeks an implementing civil society organization (CSO) partner to conduct an impact assessment of COVID-19 on access to justice in Nepal. The objectives are to:

  • assess the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic on access to justice for women and marginalized groups, and
  • map the status of e-justice/digitalization in the justice sector from the perspective of women and marginalized groups.

Call for proposals: Women’s economic empowerment in two districts of Sindh, Pakistan

The project “Women’s Economic Empowerment” (WEE) will work directly with at least 1,500 women workers and women-owned businesses in two districts of Sindh, namely Khairpur and Sukkur, mobilizing them, forming them into functioning groups, and connecting them with a range of services and resources (access to finance, markets, skills development, and enterprise development etc). Efforts will also be made to train these women to maintain a mobile financial wallet for which linkage will be established with the relevant service providers and private sector.
